TO MY PLANET

As I open my eyes and look around
I can see the wonders upon this planet
And if I lend a ear to all nature’s sounds
I can feel the harmony, the peace and quiet

These are some of her gifts to us
Let them touch your heart thus
So you can be a part of her again
And never will forget to love her then

As I take a moment to think about nature
Before my eyes she unfolds her wonders
Proudly she unveils then with pleasure
My body, soul and spirit she nurtures

Hear the merry tinkle of water running down a small stream
See the sparkles of light dancing, greeted by a sun beam
Feel the gentle caress of the light and cool breeze
Let the fresh air revive your body with ease

The might of the mountains
The immensity of the oceans
The mystery of the forest
The calm lakes where to rest
The animals and the flowers
And my sisters and brothers

She gifted all for me and you
A world to live in she has given
How carelessly we treated you
Mother Earth please forgive your children
